Guide to buying a computer.

When thinking of buying a computer there are a few key things to consider. An impoortant thing to know is the memory capacity of the computer, the reason for this is that when doing projects you will need to know how much information you computer will be able to hold. Another important thing to know is if the computer will be compatible with certain applications, for example microsoft office which is used in doing projects and essays and is a useful thing to have on your computer for this course.

Cost is also a factor when buying a computer, as the computer you buy for this course will be needed for four years it is a good idea to make sure you get what you need for the lowest price available. Another thing that you should look out for is the guarantee on the computer, as you will need the computer for four years it is worth your while paying extra to get the guarantee you will need, this saves buying a new computer later on in the course.

It would also be a good idea to investigate the speed of the computer and all its available extra components. You should also check the security systems compatible with your computer and to get the best one available to you.
Also a good thing to know is the battery life of your computer, if it is a laptop and you are using it in college you should be aware of how long you will be able to use it for so any work that is unfinished can be saved before the battery runs out.

All of these things are useful to know if you plan on using a laptop or computer for the four years of this course. These things should be well investigated and if you are unsure about something ask a friend who might know, any of these factors are important for the simple reason that without them you might not get the full potential from your computer that you wanted.
