Another thing that you should look out for is the guarantee on the computer, as you will need the computer for four years it is worth your while paying extra to get the guarantee you will need, this saves buying a new computer later on in the course.

It would also be a good idea to investigate the speed of the computer and all its available extra components. You should also check the security systems compatible with your computer and to get the best one available to you.
Also a good thing to know is the battery life of your computer, if it is a laptop and you are using it in college you should be aware of how long you will be able to use it for so any work that is unfinished can be saved before the battery runs out.
